What is your name?
What character do you play in The Trojan Women?
I play a Soldier.
Reminisce about a time you were homesick or forced from your home.
Home for me is Lowell, MA. I’ve never really been away from home for an extended period of time. This speaks for how comfortable I am at home. I definitely miss the comfort of my own bed in my own room when I am away.
What is the purpose of community and how does war disrupt this?
A community is a groupe of people that live together. An ideal version of this is full of friendly neighbors that help each other. A war can shatter all concepts of an idyllic community.
What is something about the show and your experience with the material that has surprised you?
One thing that the show has surprised me with is how much a war destroys a family. This includes refugees, as well as the soldiers fighting - it destroys families on both sides. While soldiers are off fighting battles on foreign soil, their children back home are growing up without them. War takes its toll on both sides of the conflict, hurting everyone.
Be sure to see Kyle in THE TROJAN WOMEN at The Luna Theater on August 17-19
